Goodyear Mobile delivers automotive services directly to customers' homes and fleet locations. As a Mobile Service Standards Specialist, you will drive consistent execution, service quality, and safety across Goodyear's national Mobile program.
This role focuses on training, mentoring, and supporting Lead General Maintenance Technicians (GMTs) while standardizing processes nationwide. You will partner with Product and Operations teams to define service standards, lead in‑market and virtual training, and support new initiatives. Travel up to 50% is required.
Operational Excellence
- Perform and model mobile services including tires, oil changes, batteries, and minor repairs
- Ensure consistent setup, ordering, inventory, and documentation processes
- Support fleet onboarding through standardized, repeatable workflows
- Pilot new initiatives and document best practices
Standards Adherence
- Conduct ride‑alongs and market observations with Mobile Technicians
- Provide coaching, retraining, and standards reinforcement
- Lead group training sessions both in person and virtually
- Review daily operational readiness including equipment, vans, and inventory
- Partner with Dispatch and Retail teams to support “One Team” execution
Safety Lead
- Lead safety training for new hires and ongoing technician development
- Identify safety training needs and lead monthly safety meetings
- Promote safe work environments across Mobile and Retail operations
- Support documentation and development of safety best practices
Knowledge, Skills & Capabilities
- Strong automotive service knowledge and technical expertise
- Ability to work independently while providing field leadership
- Strong communication, organization, and coaching skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
- Flexible schedule with travel, evenings, and occasional weekends
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical vehicle-related tasks
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 5 plus years automotive service experience
- 1–2 years leadership or supervisory experience
- Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
- Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship now or in the future
Preferred
- ASE certification(s)
- OEM or Goodyear technical training
